About my art
Each work is created from many pieces of fabric, beginning with a heavy cotton “canvas.” Layers of fabric establish the image, build the subject, and form subtleties, shading and detail. I am always exploring interesting colour combinations and the potential of found material. My tools are good scissors, acid free adhesive, a trove of fabric, natural light and time. My works are dry-mounted on a foam core surface, custom matted and framed.
