Standard Workshops
Workshops to learn Jane's Fabric Layering are available annually each Fall. Beginner and Intermediate workshops are available in 2013. In addition to her workshops, Jane also teaches a week-long course at Fleming College's Haliburton School of the Arts each summer.
Beginners Workshop: -1.5 days….$130. plus HST August 17-18, 2013; October 26-27, 2013
Students will learn the foundational Fabric Layering techniques completing 1 sampler note card to explore the technique and 1 glass framed picture that captures a colourful scene of autumn colours while developing skill in distance, mid-ground and foreground concepts. A material fee of $20 provides basic beginning supplies. Students are emailed the image in order to select fabric for the project.
Intermediate Workshop: 1.5 days...$130. plus HST November 2-3, 2013
Individuals who have completed the initial Beginners workshop are able to advance their skills with the nuances to create greater sophistication in the finished work. Shading, depth, distance and the center of interest will be the focus of this workshop. Students will bring basic supplies from the Beginner workshop but will have access to subtle fabric needs based on their works. A $7. material fee will be universal for fabric needs to complete works.

It is refundable up to one month prior to the beginning of the course. Payment is transferable to other dates listed or unlisted (within 6 months)
Accomodation: B&B listings are available upon request. If you wish to stay on site, room only is available at $45. plus hst per night including reasonable kitchen and fridge access.
Meals: Feel free to bring a packed lunch.
